Stranded Colorwork Sweater and Steek Workshop with Mark Paulson

Stranded Colorwork Sweater Workshop 10/18, 11/1, 11/15, 11/29, & 12/13 5:30-7:30pm at StevenBe Studio in Minneapolis.
Join us as we create colorwork yoke sweaters using the designs of Tin Can Knits under the leadership of the uber talented stranded knitter, Mark Paulson. At the very end of the workshop you can turn your pullover into a cardigan by adding a steek to your sweater (this is optional for this project, but you will still learn the technique for future projects).
The following Top-Down pattern designs are options for you to pick from:
0-6 mo (6-12 mo, 1-2 yrs, 2-4 yrs, 4-6 yrs, 6-8 yrs, 8-10 yrs, Adult XS, S, SM, M, ML, L, LXL, XL, XXL, 3XL, 4XL)
Included in your workshop:5 sessions including a special steek session. Sewing machine provided.
Pattern only option: a PDF copy emailed to you from Ravelry. Please indicate in the note section the design you wish to make.
Yarn must be purchased at StevenBe in advance of the class and is not included in the class fees. TeamBe will set up an appointment with you at time of workshop purchase to assist you with your selections.
Students must use this yarn: https://www.stevenbe.com/shop/Yarn/Yarn-By-Brand/Blue-Sky-Fibers/Woolstok.htm or https://www.stevenbe.com/shop/Yarn/Yarn-By-Brand/Blue-Sky-Fibers/Woolstok-150.htm
Additional materials will be required (i.e., needles) but not included in the workshop fees.
Participants should know basic knitting skills such as be comfortable knitting in the round, increasing and decreasing. For the steek you will need to be comfortable operating a sewing machine; however, this is not a deal breaker as the steek is optional.

Mark Paulson
Knitter/Knitwear designer
My grandma taught me how to knit when I was about 9 yrs old and I returned to the craft about 25 yrs ago after seeing a exhibit of Kaffe Fassets life’s knitting at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
I have a background in fashion/textile’s and pattern making and finished out my degree in Production Management for Apparel Industries at F.I.T. I am currently working for a large upscale fashion retailer as a tailor.
My specialty in knitting is knitting fair isle/colorwork and cables. Sweaters are my favorite item to knit and I am always learning and trying out new techniques. Knitting has provided for me a creative and social outlet. Feel free to follow me on Instagram at username: Markpaul32.
