Sometimes You Have To Cut A Stitch: Fearless Steeking

The word “steek” strikes terror in the hearts of many knitters, but fear no more. Mark will teach you to steek with confidence.

Steeking is the process of cutting into your knitting in order to create an opening, such as armholes or a cardigan front. Mark has developed a user-friendly process that will leave you with a darling, notions bag.

The first session will focus on sharpening your stranding skills, as well as how you designate which stitches are steek stitches.

The second session is when you get to cut your work! And of course finish constructing your bag.

When you register, you will receive a digital copy of the pattern and charts. You can dive into your stash or let the StevenBe team help you find your perfect colors. Just make sure you have your gauge appropriate needles and all your yarn wound so you are ready to cast on with the class.

For the second session, Mark will be providing all the zippers, lining fabric, and sewing machines so everyone can complete their project in class.
