Let us take you through the basics of creating your first knitting project. Learn yarn and needle basics, cast-on, the knit stitch, and a simple bind-off. In this 2-hour session you will be well on your way to a first cowl. Or, if you are getting back to your needles after a break, we'll re-start your passion for knitting!

Cost: $ FREE
This four part workshop will take students from cast-on to completed two color scarf while learning the techniques necessary for double knitting.

The ultimate gift for your favorite feline: her own cozy cat cave! No knitting or sewing. Learn traditional felting techniques using wool fibers, soapy water and your own muscles. Add a variety of surface embellishments for a one-of-a-kind cave. 100% Glitter Cat approved! Please note: this is a large project that requires physical stamina (and possibly a little homework).

Cost: $ 98.00
Cozy and warm, your new felted slippers are perfect for Minnesota winters. No knitting or sewing, learn to layer colorful wool fibers over a custom-sized pattern made from your own feet. Choose your favorite look from elegant lounging slipper to casual mule. Either way, you’ll enjoy relaxing with your feet up in a pair of handmade felted slippers.

Cost: $ 88.00
This three part workshop will take students from cast-on to completed two-color plaid cowl, while learning the techniques necessary for double knitting.

Cost: $ 40.00
Explore the simple, sacred, and satisfying craft of frame loom weaving. We will spend the afternoon covering the introductory techniques that will leave you with the skills to create beautiful wall hangings.

Cost: $ 48.00
Have you ever wanted to paint a landscape or capture a beautiful vista? Needle-felting offers a textural, three-dimensional way to bring them to life. Visiting artist, Elizabeth Moldenhauer, will share her techniques for creating felt paintings. Using a pre-felt base, wool roving, and a photo of your choice, you will learn painterly, impressionist techniques to transform your photo into your own work of art. She will also share ways in which you can use other embellishments such as beads, fabric, weaving, and other fibers to create a mixed media piece.

Cost: $ 48.00
Ever wanted to knit socks but were too intimidated by the prospect of tackling a pair? This is the workshop series for you! Laurie and Bree will take you through the complete anatomy of a sock as well as help you find the method that works for you.

Cost: $ 48.00

CORI EICHELBERGER AND MEGAN WILLIAMS are Minnesotans who travel Highway 52 back and forth to see each other and attend knitting events. Their travel shenanigans inspired this book of knitting patterns. But Minnesota 52 is not just a pattern book for Minnesota knitters; it represents a movement currently taking place for hand crafters. Friends have begun traveling together to retreats, festivals, conventions or just weekends away to share a passion for knitting with one another. In the past 5-10 years, knitters worldwide have formed a community who meet up for camaraderie, classes and chitchat. Cori and Megan will join us at StevenBe for a book signing as well as a showcase of their designs featured in the book.
